Fish Griwkowsky is an award-winning photographer, filmmaker and journalist forever mutated by first seeing Star Wars in Calgary in 1977. His work has appeared in publications worldwide, onscreen at film festivals including Sundance, Berlinale and Vladivostok’s Pacific Meridian Film Festival, while locally he’s taken home the mayor’s Poole Award for Support for the Arts. Fish is currently in pre-production on a film about Russians called Soothsayer with his frequent collaborator Trevor Anderson, and is happily married to accomplished local visual artist Dara Humniski.

The photos in this show were taken at the Banff Centre shortly after the death of David Bowie and the surprise discovery of a gigantic new planet in our solar system.
